Hulk's planet-cracking strength vs Wolverine's indestructible skeleton — an iconic Marvel rivalry with a clear power gap.
This is one of Marvel's most legendary rivalries — Wolverine's very first appearance was fighting the Hulk. And while their fights in the comics have produced varied results, the power gap is real.
Hulk is astronomically stronger. He can crack continents with footsteps, and his strength has no documented ceiling. Wolverine's adamantium claws CAN cut Hulk — they're one of the few things that can — making Logan one of the rare beings who can actually draw blood from the Green Goliath.
But cutting Hulk and beating Hulk are vastly different things. Hulk's healing factor is comparable to Wolverine's, meaning the cuts heal quickly. And Hulk's retaliatory strikes send Wolverine flying for miles. In the famous 'Old Man Logan' storyline, Hulk ate Wolverine. Literally.
The healing factor keeps it interesting — Wolverine always survives and always comes back for more. But surviving isn't winning.
Hulk's strength exceeds Wolverine's by orders of magnitude. A single thunderclap can scatter Logan's body. Hulk also has a healing factor, meaning Wolverine's cuts are only temporary. The angrier Hulk gets, the worse Logan's situation becomes.
Adamantium claws are among the very few things that can actually cut the Hulk. Wolverine's healing factor means he always gets back up. His berserker rage gives him fearlessness against even Hulk-level threats. In certain comic runs, enraged Wolverine has given Hulk genuine difficulty.
Hulk wins through overwhelming strength, but Wolverine makes it a real fight — more so than almost anyone else at the street-level tier. Logan's ability to actually wound Hulk combined with his indestructible skeleton makes this iconic, even if the outcome usually favors the Green Goliath.
