Superman's speed and versatility overcome Hulk's limitless strength — if he ends it quickly.
This is a clash of two of the most powerful beings in all of comics, and the debate hinges on one question: how long does the fight last?
Superman has a massive speed advantage. He can think and react at speeds approaching light, while Hulk, despite being surprisingly fast for his size, is nowhere near that tier. Superman could theoretically end this fight in seconds with a blitz of heat vision, freeze breath, and Kryptonian-force punches before Hulk gets angry enough to compete.
But here's the problem: the angrier Hulk gets, the stronger he becomes, with no known upper limit. If Superman can't finish Hulk quickly — and Hulk's insane durability and healing factor make that extremely difficult — the fight shifts dramatically. A sufficiently enraged Hulk has matched or exceeded world-breaker feats that rival Superman's best.
Superman's versatility is the deciding factor. Heat vision, freeze breath, flight, and super-speed give him options that Hulk can't counter. He can fight from range, at speed, and use his intelligence (Superman is significantly smarter than Hulk) to find the optimal approach.
Hulk's strength has literally no ceiling. World Breaker Hulk cracked a continent with a single step. The longer this fight goes, the more it favors Hulk as his rage builds. His healing factor lets him regenerate from almost any damage, meaning Superman's blows might hurt but won't put him down permanently. Hulk has also displayed resistance to heat and cold at extreme levels.
Superman's speed advantage is enormous — he can land dozens of planet-shattering blows before Hulk can throw one. Heat vision, freeze breath, and flight give him range options Hulk can't counter. Superman can also fly Hulk into space, where the lack of oxygen would eventually incapacitate Banner. Superman is far more intelligent in combat and would fight tactically.
Superman wins if he fights smart — and he usually does. His speed lets him control the engagement, his versatility gives him options Hulk can't counter, and his own strength is planet-tier even at base. The danger is letting Hulk get angry enough to close the gap, but a focused Superman ends this before that happens.
