Captain America is the pinnacle of human potential — the super-soldier serum pushed Steve Rogers to the absolute peak of what a human body can achieve. His shield is virtually indestructible, his tactical mind is unmatched, and his combat experience spans decades. Against street-level and even some mid-tier opponents, Cap is formidable.

Wonder Woman, however, is a demigod. Daughter of Zeus and Hippolyta, Diana has strength that puts her in Superman's tier — she's caught missiles, blocked Omega Beams, and traded blows with Darkseid's elite forces. Her speed is sufficient to deflect automatic gunfire with her bracelets, and her combat training on Themyscira spans centuries of Amazon warrior tradition.

The power gap here is enormous. Captain America struggles against opponents like the Winter Soldier and Crossbones — enhanced humans. Wonder Woman fights alongside and against beings that can level cities. Her Lasso of Truth is unbreakable and forces compliance, her bracelets are forged from Zeus's shield, and her sword can cut atoms. Every single piece of her equipment outclasses Cap's vibranium shield.

Cap's tactical brilliance and shield would let him survive longer than most, and his never-give-up attitude means he'd fight to the very end. But surviving and winning are different things. Wonder Woman's physical stats are so far beyond Cap's that no amount of strategy can bridge the gap.
