Hulk's limitless strength scaling ultimately overpowers even the God of War's divine arsenal.
Kratos is one of gaming's most impressive combatants. The Ghost of Sparta has killed Zeus, Poseidon, Ares, Baldur, Thor, and Odin โ essentially dismantling two entire mythological pantheons single-handedly. His Blades of Chaos and Leviathan Axe are divine weapons capable of harming gods, and his Spartan Rage makes him virtually unstoppable in short bursts.
The Hulk, however, is a different class of threat. While Kratos has fought beings of immense power, the gods he defeated operate within mythology-scale power levels. The Hulk exists in the Marvel universe where the power ceiling is dramatically higher. He has matched Thor (a god far beyond Norse mythology's version), traded blows with cosmic entities, and demonstrated strength feats that dwarf anything in Kratos' experience.
Kratos' greatest advantage is his weaponry and tactical mind. The Blades of Chaos and Leviathan Axe are magical weapons that could genuinely harm the Hulk, and Kratos' combat intelligence far exceeds Banner's alter ego. He would fight smart, using his arsenal to its fullest. Spartan Rage would let him trade blows in the early going.
But the Hulk's rage mechanic is the deciding factor. Every wound Kratos inflicts makes the Hulk angrier and stronger. Kratos has incredible stamina, but the Hulk's power curve has no plateau. Eventually, the gap becomes too wide for even the Ghost of Sparta to bridge with skill and divine weapons.
The Hulk's limitless strength scaling means Kratos is fighting a constantly escalating threat. Hulk has matched Marvel's Thor, who operates at power levels far beyond the mythological gods Kratos has fought. His regeneration heals virtually any wound the Blades of Chaos or Leviathan Axe could inflict, and his durability means Kratos' hardest hits only make the problem worse.
Kratos has killed two entire pantheons of gods and possesses divine weapons specifically designed to harm immortal beings. His Spartan Rage, combat intelligence, and millennia of experience give him a tactical edge. The Leviathan Axe and Blades of Chaos could genuinely wound the Hulk, and Kratos has the resilience to survive punishment that would kill any normal combatant.
Hulk takes this through raw power escalation, but Kratos makes it a brutal fight. The God of War's divine weapons and god-killing experience mean he can hurt the Hulk and push him hard in the early rounds. But the Hulk's infinite scaling and Marvel-tier durability ultimately overwhelm Kratos' mythological power level. A closer fight than many expect, but the math favors Banner.
