Captain America is one of Marvel's greatest fighters, but Homelander possesses Superman-level abilities that Cap simply cannot match physically. Homelander can fly, shoot heat vision that cuts through steel, and possesses strength and durability far beyond anything the super-soldier serum provides.

Cap's vibranium shield provides excellent defense and could deflect heat vision, but Homelander can attack from any angle using flight. From the air, Homelander can bombard Cap with laser blasts while staying out of shield-throw range. Cap has fought flying opponents before, but not ones who combine flight with Superman-level strength.

Cap's advantages are his tactical genius, combat experience, and moral courage. He could potentially exploit Homelander's psychological fragility through words, refusing to show fear in a way that destabilizes Homelander emotionally. But in a physical fight, the gap is simply too large.
