Captain America is one of Marvel's greatest fighters, but Doctor Doom is in a completely different weight class. Doom's armor grants superhuman strength, energy projection, and force fields that can withstand attacks from beings like the Thing and She-Hulk. His sorcery adds mystical attacks that Cap's vibranium shield cannot block.

Cap's shield is excellent against physical and energy attacks, but Doom's magical abilities bypass conventional defenses entirely. Mystical bolts, summoned creatures, and reality-altering spells give Doom options that Cap has no counter for in his standard loadout.

Cap's tactical genius and combat skill are world-class, but Doom is equally brilliant and has far more resources. The vibranium shield is Cap's best tool, but Doom's force fields can stop it mid-flight, and his energy blasts can attack from angles the shield cannot cover simultaneously.
