This is a thematically amusing matchup — the snake-haired gorgon versus the world's longest venomous snake. The king cobra is a magnificent predator, reaching 18 feet in length with venom potent enough to kill an elephant. It's intelligent for a snake, with complex hunting strategies and impressive spatial awareness. In the natural world, few animals can challenge a king cobra.

Medusa, however, is a supernatural being from Greek mythology. Her petrification gaze instantly turns any living thing to stone — no venom, no physical attack needed, just eye contact. Her serpentine hair consists of living snakes that attack independently, giving her multiple offensive vectors. Her monstrous form grants superhuman strength and durability beyond any natural creature.

The king cobra's venom is deadly, but it requires a physical bite to deliver. Medusa can petrify the cobra before it gets within striking range — her gaze works at a distance and is instantaneous. Even if the cobra somehow avoided eye contact, Medusa's serpent hair provides dozens of snake-like threats simultaneously, all of which are part of a supernatural being rather than a natural animal.

The only scenario where the king cobra has any advantage is if we assume snakes are immune to petrification due to lacking complex visual processing. But even then, Medusa's physical abilities as a supernatural monster far exceed anything a natural snake can do.
