Goku's universal-level power and faster-than-light speed place him in a tier that even the God-Killer cannot reach.
Kratos is one of the most impressive characters in gaming, but Dragon Ball's power scaling operates on a completely different level. Goku's clash with Beerus in Battle of Gods threatened to destroy the entire observable universe โ not a city, not a planet, the universe. By the time he masters Ultra Instinct, he's fighting beings that threaten the multiverse.
Kratos's most impressive feats involve killing the Greek and Norse pantheons. These are mountain-to-continental level beings โ Poseidon controls the oceans, Zeus throws lightning that shatters mountains, Thor's hammer cracks the World Tree. These are incredible feats, but they're planetary at most. Goku surpassed planetary in the Saiyan Saga when he fought Vegeta. By Namek, he was star-level. By the Cell Saga, he was solar system level. Current Goku operates at scales that make Kratos's opponents look like warmups.
Speed is the even bigger issue. Goku was faster than light by the Frieza Saga. Ultra Instinct Goku moves faster than thought itself โ his body dodges independently of his mind. Kratos is fast, but he operates at speeds where he can still be tagged by arrows and physical attacks. The speed differential alone means Kratos would never land a meaningful blow.
Kratos's rage and determination are legendary, and in a universe where willpower matters (like God of War), he might find a way. But in a neutral arena with Dragon Ball physics, the gap is too vast.
Goku's power output threatens entire universes, dwarfing anything in the God of War cosmology. Ultra Instinct gives him reaction speed beyond thought, meaning Kratos physically cannot hit him. A single serious Kamehameha from current Goku carries more energy than every attack Kratos has ever tanked combined. The power scaling gap between gaming and Dragon Ball is simply enormous.
Kratos has killed beings who control fundamental forces of reality โ death, time, the ocean, lightning. His Spartan Rage has no defined upper limit and seems to scale with the threat he faces. If willpower and determination factor in, Kratos has clawed his way out of the underworld multiple times and literally refused to die. Against any opponent with defined limits, Kratos finds a way.
Goku wins convincingly. This isn't a knock on Kratos โ he's one of the most powerful characters in gaming. But Dragon Ball's power scaling simply operates at universal and multiversal levels that God of War's cosmology doesn't reach. Kratos kills gods; Goku threatens to destroy the universe they live in.
