A 14,000-pound elephant vs a 600-pound tiger — the size gap makes this completely one-sided.
The African elephant outweighs the Bengal tiger by roughly 25:1. No predator on Earth, no matter how skilled, can take down a healthy adult elephant alone. In the wild, tigers sometimes target Asian elephant calves, but only when separated from the herd, and Asian elephants are significantly smaller than their African cousins.
The elephant's hide is too thick for the tiger's claws to penetrate effectively. Its tusks are 6-foot weapons. A single trunk slap delivers several tons of force. The tiger simply doesn't have the offensive tools to threaten something this large.
25:1 weight advantage, impenetrable hide, devastating tusks and trunk. The elephant has been documented killing rhinos, hippos, and lions. No single predator threatens a healthy adult.
The tiger is significantly faster and could target the elephant's legs or trunk. But realistically, tiger claws can't do enough damage to threaten a 7-ton animal before it retaliates with lethal force.
The elephant wins with virtually zero risk. This is a severe size mismatch that no amount of predator skill can overcome.
