Hercules's demigod strength and invulnerability to conventional weapons overwhelm Achilles's speed and martial skill.
Two of Greek mythology's greatest heroes, but they operate at fundamentally different power tiers. Achilles is the greatest mortal warrior who ever lived โ blessed by the river Styx with near-invulnerability, possessing speed and skill that allowed him to single-handedly turn the Trojan War. He killed Hector, the greatest Trojan warrior, and was said to be untouchable in combat. His only weakness, the famous heel, is his singular vulnerability.
Hercules, however, is not mortal. As the son of Zeus, his strength is supernatural โ he wrestled and killed the Nemean Lion (whose hide was impervious to all weapons), captured Cerberus from the underworld bare-handed, and held up the entire sky. His Twelve Labors represent feats that no mortal, no matter how blessed, could accomplish. He fought and defeated gods, monsters, and forces of nature.
Achilles's combat skill is almost certainly superior in pure technique. He's a trained warrior from birth, prophesied to be the greatest fighter of his age. His speed with a spear and sword is legendary. But skill has limits against someone who can shrug off your strongest blow. Hercules has tanked attacks from hydras, giants, and divine beings. Achilles's weapons โ even with Styx-blessed durability โ would struggle to meaningfully damage someone who strangled the Nemean Lion and overpowered Atlas.
Achilles is the greatest warrior in Greek mythology, blessed by the river Styx with near-total invulnerability. His speed and combat technique are unmatched โ he single-handedly routed the Trojan army and killed Hector in single combat. If he can exploit his superior fighting skill and target Hercules's less-defended areas, his divine-forged weapons could find purchase.
Hercules is a demigod with strength that dwarfs any mortal's capabilities. He killed the unkillable Nemean Lion, captured Cerberus, and held up the sky. His raw power means even Achilles's best strikes may not be enough to put him down, while a single clean hit from Hercules could end the fight. The gap in strength is simply too vast for technique alone to overcome.
Hercules wins through sheer power disparity. Achilles is arguably the better pure fighter, but Hercules operates at a demigod level that mortals โ even divinely blessed ones โ cannot match. Achilles would put up an incredible fight and earn Hercules's respect, but the son of Zeus ultimately has too much raw power to overcome.
